How to Improve Your Website Ranking

How to improve my website ranking is a common question that many business owners ask themselves. The answers are much easier than you think. This blog post explores two ways

Good Website rankings are becoming a passport to more clients for many local business owners. The increase on the volume of searches on Google means that many consumers hit their PC to make a purchase long before the yellow pages. Smart business owners realise this and are altering what they do on line. The important part of having a great ranking is to rank for a relevant keyword that your market is
looking for.

1. Use a Blog

Websites and blogs are different and yet many traditional business owners shy away from blogs and blogging. The Najeda online site that you are on now is actually a blog. The design is simple and works.
The thing is that one of the quickest ways to have a high search engine ranking is to have a blog. Google loves them. Because of the way they are structured and the ease of adding content, within a matter of weeks you could have a blog filled with relevant content. If you made one post a day. By the end of the month you could have 30 plus pages of great content.

Google will index blogs much faster than HTML websites. This will help you get found quickly. One of the best software platforms for a blog is WordPress. There are amazing free templates all over the internet you can use and for the cost of hosting and a domain you are all set to go. It is possible once you have a domain name and hosting to have your blog live and on the internet within an hour.

2. Research your keywords and use them

Keyword research is getting easier all the time with so many free and easy ways to find all the key words you will ever need. The important thing though is to think about your customer. Exactly what is there pain or problem? When you know that think about what they will be searching on. Then use these words in the content you write for your blog. If you want to dominate a market, build those keywords into your posts.

May Day – May Day! What’s Going On?

I suppose that you’ve noticed all the changes that have been going on in your sites’ earnings, and it hasn’t all been good. But it hasn’t all been bad, either.

Yes, it’s true that Google made some changes and now they’re serving IBA – interest based ads. But did you know that you can override that? And it’s simple to do too! Just log into your adsense account, click on the My Account tab, and scroll down to the Interest Based Ads preferences. Edit that to say “Do not show ads based on user interest categories” – and your ads will be back to normal.

Once I did that, I noticed that my earnings popped back up where they belonged, and it’s no wonder. If yesterday I was shopping for shoes online, but today I was looking for a coffee maker, I wouldn’t be interested in all the ads that kept popping up for shoes! Well, I’m always interested in shoes, but you know what I mean :-)

So if your earnings are down, that just might be the reason – and you CAN take control!

There’s a New Forum in Town!

I know that there have been some big changes over at a certain huge forum, and a lot of people aren’t in love with the changes.  “Nuff said about that.

Recently there have been several new forums springing up, and I believe I’ve found my new home!  Market Crush is the new place for me to hang, and if you go over there you’ll probably see some of the best marketers in the business making it their home, too.

I’m very impressed with the quality of the people who have signed up over there; Don and Jeremy started it, and you’ll find Lisa Gergets, Tina, Chris Ramsey, Allen Graves, Ken Leatherman, and way too many other of my favorite people to mention, or I’d just be name dropping all day!

The depth of knowledge on the forum is deep – this isn’t a spammy forum where everyone is just pushing products at you all day; this is an honest forum where you’ll get some inside info on what works and what doesn’t, and people who are willing to give you some good advice.

So if you’re looking for new place of your own, check out Market Crush!
