Why Headers and Designs are So Important
Have you ever gone to a blog or website looking for either information, the best prices, or reviews on products? What happens when you get there and you’re looking at a disorganized, ugly site that’s full of ads, poorly laid out and with either an ugly or even no header? I bet you leave, don’t you?
If you want to decrease your bounce rates, keeps visitors on your site, then you owe it to them and to your business to have a well laid out design and a professionally designed set of graphics. Right now, I’m seeing lots of people advertising “gorgeous, professional designs” that are, to be blunt, crap. Anyone can toss together a free theme, or even create a custom theme with with a program, but are they really professional looking? Personally, I don’t think so, and neither does my husband.
My husband Jim has been a professional graphic designer for over 20 years. He has the latest software available at his fingertips, and frankly, his designs are amazing. He was one of the very top designers at the World’s Largest Entertainment Company until he decided to become a freelance graphic designer, and now I’m the lucky one who gets to benefit. He has artistic visions that I would never dream of, but he creates some truly stunning designs. I take his headers, and design the site around them – quite the opposite of the way most designers work, but that’s one of the things that makes our sites stand out from the crowd.
Right now we’re offering $50 niche sites that are great starter blogs for you, and of course you can order custom sites from us in your niche. On those sites he certainly kicks the graphics up a notch; stunning designs, magazine quality graphics that you will be proud of.
Don’t settle for less than the best!

I agree, Terri. I’ve seen some truly, truly, ugly sites lately and I just don’t understand how people expect to keep the reader on the page when the background is blindingly neon. And generally the first thing you see is the header and the navigation bar. If the header image has nothing at all to do with the blog then it’s very confusing. And let’s not even get into navigation on some of these things. Broken links and categories that have no keywords….
I’ve been at this for quite a while now and it still amazes me the number of marketers there are out there who think nothing of selling crap – with no concern for the buyer. They slap together a blog, sell it to some unsuspecting buyer, and take the money and run.
Do those blogs every actually sell anything? Maybe a few bucks in Adsense – because people want to get out of there as quickly as possible so they click on the closest link!
Howdy Donna!
You’re absolutely right – some marketers are just out there to sell – they don’t care about the quality of what they’re selling.
My philosophy is that no matter what you purchase, it should be a quality item at the best price, especially now that so many new marketers are just trying to make some extra cash to make ends meet.
I try to make sure that all of my buyers receive the best quality possible!
Hi Terri,
You are so right about the header and design of a website. I recently bought one of your micro niche blogs just because I was really drawn to the beautiful header and design!
Afterwards I found it was also fully loaded with great plugins that really added to the ease of managing it and a quality theme, and you were so helpful. I wanted to thank you and your husband too, I couldn’t be happier with your great work and your support.
Thanks Penny – I’m glad that you’re enjoying your site – you’re a pleasure to work with!
Terri
Hi Terri
are there any issues with using brand names such as the Harley T shirt site? I mean, is this infringing a trademark ?
It’s always possible, but the site is only selling authentic Harley merchandise from an authorized dealer. I’ve never had a problem before using brand names in this way, but I’m not an attorney.
